In Glassell Park, a small community in Los Angeles, California, the International House of Universal Goods (IHUG) has created a unique way of bringing people together and spreading good vibes. Through its Friendship Lamp program, IHUG is connecting people in Glassell Park with one another, and bringing a sense of hope and connection to the area.
The Friendship Lamps are based on a simple concept: Two lamps are connected through a Wi-Fi network and when one of them is touched, the other one lights up too. This simple act of connecting two lamps is a way of connecting two people, and showing them that they are not alone.
