Recently, the people of Canyon Country were brought even closer together with the introduction of IHUG, a program designed to bring joy to the community through the use of friendship lamps.
IHUG is a social enterprise that was founded by two local residents, Gary and Clarice, who wanted to bring more joy and connection to their community. The two of them started IHUG with the mission of bringing people together to share in meaningful experiences.
The IHUG Friendship Lamp is the centerpiece of their program. The lamp is made of wood and comes in two pieces. Each piece is connected to an app where people can connect and share in meaningful conversations. When someone sends a message to another person, it is shown on the lamp in the form of a light.
